GitHub Student Developer Pack
What's inside
Containing stuff from many different companies including Digital Ocean, Amazon (AWS), bitnami, namecheap, Microsoft and, of course, GitHub itself as well as many more, this is the biggest pack in my list.
In this pack you get all different kinds of benefits ranging from software to credit on learning platforms, from programming support to free servers and domains.
How to get it
You need a GitHub account with your schools' student email address assigned. All you have to do is apply for the pack on their website using your GitHub account.
If your school or university is not in the list of qualified education institutes you can alternatively submit a scan of your student identity card. Please note that in this case the processing of the request may take up some more time.
JetBrains All Products Pack
What's inside
The All Products Pack contains as the name already states, all programs and tools by JetBrains, including (but not limited to) PhpStorm. WebStorm, IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate or Resharper Ultimate.
How to get it
You need to apply with your student email address.
If your school or university is not in the list of qualified education institutes you may add it to their swot repository or alternatively submit a scan of your student identity card. Please note that in this case the processing of the request may take up some more time.
Microsoft Imagine (former Dreamspark)
What's inside
Almost all Microsoft programs, such as Windows, Office, Visual Studio and so on.
How to get it
Unfortunately, your education institute will need to grant you access to Microsoft Imagine. If they don't offer it, your chances are pretty low to be able to participate.
YNAB for Students
What's inside
YNAB (You Need A Budget), a pretty cool tool to manage your expenses and incomes.
How to get it
I'll just quote YNAB:
We offer all students YNAB free for 12-months (in addition to the free 34-day trial). If you’re interested, write into student@ynab.com with proof of enrollment—think student ID card, transcript or tuition statement (but anything that shows you are currently enrolled and includes your name, your school, and the date will do).
